The Tamagotchi Ocean was released in Japan on February 20th, 1998 and the US on August 5th,1998. It was one of the last tamagotchi to be released in the United States. The Tamagotchi Ocean are known as being one of the hardest Tamagotchi to raise as most people do not manage to raise it to adulthood. They are also known to unpause themselves, which can result in a early death if the owner is not aware that the tamagotchi has unpaused.
